Joint Land Use Study
What is Joint Land Use Study? The Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) is a co-operative planning effort between the Army and the communities of the region to examine both the way that Fort Benning operates and the way that nearby areas are growing.
The study’s purpose is to ensure military missions continue without degrading the public health, safety, and welfare of surrounding communities, while ensuring that local economic development continues to prosper.
The JLUS is also an excellent opportunity to strenghten communication between the Army and its civilian neighbors.
